In the piece Accant, the abstract seemingly mixes with the concrete. This is expressed by title’s reference to a Mediterranean plant whose specifically shaped leaves became the inspiration in Ancient Greece for a basic ornamental motif in the capital of the column from the Corinthian order. However, this does not constitute an attempt to transfer visual experiences onto musical ground. In this association, the idea is only related with the complicated shapes of the leaf, which are reminiscent of the complex texture in the composition’s first phase. Apart from this, the title conceals only discrete meanings. We have the abbreviation of the word “accordion” (acc.), an allusion to symmetry (acca-), broken symmetry (acca-nt), a distant reference to songfulness (canto - from the Italian I sing) and its antonym (prefix a-).

W utworze Accant abstrakcja pozornie miesza się konkretem. Tu bowiem tytuł nawiązuje do pewnej śródziemnomorskiej rośliny, której liście (cechujące się specyficznym kształtem) w starożytnej Grecji stały się inspiracją podstawowego motywu zdobniczego głowicy kolumny w porządku korynckim. Nie jest to jednak próba przeniesienia na grunt muzyki wrażeń wzrokowych. W skojarzeniu tym chodzi jedynie o ideę skomplikowanych kształtów liścia, które przypominają złożoną fakturę pierwszej fazy kompozycji. Poza tym tytuł ukrywa już tylko nie powiązane ze sobą znaczenia. Mamy ukryty w nim skrót słowa akordeon (acc.), aluzję do symetrii (acca-), złamanej symetrii (acca-nt), dalekie odniesienie do śpiewności (canto – z włoskiego „śpiewam”) i jej antynomii (przedrostek a-).
